Soft and Secrets

I like this...

She was more than human to me.

She was a Fairy, a Sylph, I don't know what she was - anything that no one ever saw,

and everything that everybody ever wanted.

I was swallowed up in an abyss of love in an instant.

There was no pausing on the brink; no looking down, or looking back;

I was gone, headlong, before I had sense to say a word to her.

~David Copperfield by Charles Dickens

I watched The Secret Life of Bees over the weekend and I really enjoyed it! I read the book a while back and was pleasantly surprised at how well it translated into a film. I also enjoyed all of the actresses chosen for the roles, they did a wonderful job. Here is the trailer and you should check out the soundtrack. It's vert sweet.

A song I loved from the movie! Lizz Wright. Song for Mia.

A few of the quotes I really enjoy...

It was the in-between time, before day leaves and night comes, a time I've never been partial to because of the sadness that lingers in the space between going and coming.

Bee yard etiquette: ... the world is really one big bee yard, and the same rules work fine in both places: Don't be afraid, as no life-loving bee wants to sting you. Still, don't be an idiot; wear long sleeves and long pants. Don't swat. Don't even think about swatting. If you feel angry, whistle. Anger agitates, while whistling melts a bee's temper. Act like you know what you're doing, even if you don't. Above all, send the bees love. Every little thing wants to be loved.

... some things don't matter much. Like the color of a house. How big is that in the overall scheme of life? But lifting a person's heart--now, that matters. The whole problem with people is ... they know what matters, but they don't choose it... The hardest thing on earth is choosing what matters.

... when it's time to die, die, and when it's time to live, live. Don't sort-of-maybe live, but live like you're going all out, like you're not afraid (of dying).

Bee hum... It was the oldest sound there was. Souls flying away.

I hope you night (Day) is full of joy! ♥Emma

Show Your Heart

"Awards" can make me feel funny and sometimes (although completely flattering and welcoming) uncomfortable! Mostly due to the giving them to others part. I want to give to so many that I enjoy! But tags are usually a bit more fun because you get to learn a bit about the people you enjoy visiting. I was tagged by the always dreamy Micaela (The Drifter and The Gypsy). This tag is different and fun and I like it! Sooo hard to come up with just 1 of everything! It was definitely a challenge but here we go...
With as much creativity as you ca
n muster, show your heart in:
1 picture
1 poem
1 song or piece of music
1 phrase or
quote
1 item of clothing
1 place

[And just for fun-] 1 Disney princess!
picture:

Without using a personal picture of Bear, family, Sophie, or horses I chose this picture because it is beautiful me. It is soft and dream-like. I chose it because it can be interpreted in so many ways. I see love, sadness, loneliness, loss, contemplation, freedom, peace, contentment, and wanting in this photo. I can smell the chilled breeze and hear the soft low tide. It is just lovely and quiet and yet says a hundred different things. {photo from and some others flicker}

Poem:

i carry your heart with me
~by ee cummings

i carry your heart with me(i carry it in
my heart)i am never without it(anywhere

i go you go,my dear; and whatever is done
by only me is your doing,my darling)
i fear
no fate(for you are m
y fate,my sweet)i want
no world(for beautiful you are my world,my true)
and it's you are whatever a moon has always meant
and whatever a sun will always sing is you

here is the deepest secret nobody knows
(here is the root of the root and the bud of the bud
and the sky of the
sky of a tree called life;which grows
higher than the soul can hope or mind can hide)
and this is the wonder that's keeping the stars apart

i carry your heart(i carry it in my heart)

{to me its about the core
of someones love without the silly frills. It is honest and real.}

Song/Music:

I feel my emotions ready to burst when I listen to this song!

Phrase/Quote:
~From Wuthering Heights by Emily Bronte~
I've dreamt in my life dreams that have stayed with me ever after, and changed my ideas they've gone through and through me, like wine through water, and altered the colour of my mind.

Clothing:
I actually had to change it up and choose an accessory (which, lets be real here, is just as important as the clothing on our backs!). I love pretty much all clothes! My heart does flips for sweet spring time and summer dresses, feels warm and soft for winter coats, feels complete at the sight of perfect jeans, and it swoons over scarves of all kinds and colors. But I can not resist a bag (clutches included)! {Urban Outfitters, Anthropologie, Urban Outfitters}

Place:
Without. again, going too personal (like home, which is where my heart is) I want to choose somewhere I have been of course (otherwise it would be Italy, but I have not had the good fortune to go... YET!). So it would, without a doubt, be...
Maine!

Disney Princess:

Okay all older Disney is fantastic! I love it all from Fantasia to Dumbo, it brings me back to childhood. For my Princess I chose Ariel! She is curious, daring and brave. Beautiful, kind, and has a killer voice. And determined to get her Love! I could watch it over and over, it's just so fun!

I really don't want to be lame here but I really want to see what everyone would choose so I tag the lovely people in the box to the right (also known as "followers" in the blog world [which, can I just say, I hate hate that term!]). I love learning this stuff about everyone! Pretty, pretty please leave me a comment to ensure I don't miss the post! This is especially good for anyone grappling with post ideas! Have fun and enjoy your day! ♥Emma
