Dollhouse

Aren't dollhouses so sweet!? I had one at my Grammas house when I was little. I thought it was grand and dreamy. Little furniture set up as if a real home and you get a wonderful peek into the undisturbed rooms. If this captivated you as a little one then the work of Saskatchewan artist Heather Benning will thrill you and bring little childhood feelings back to your heart!

In an old abandoned farmhouse Heather has painstakingly recreated it's life from the 1960's when it was originally abandoned. One entire wall has been replaced with Plexiglas to embrace the dollhouse feel. I would image you could feel like a tiny person standing at it's step.

I found this life size dollhouse through Bliss.

I hope you day is a real life dream! ♥emma

I've never had a dollhouse, but I think they are very fun to look at!
That artist's work is very interesting and innovative in a way, thank you for introducing her work :)

I've always dreamt of living in a dollhouse. How whimsical must it be! Though not to mention scary since we'd be so tiny but that lifesized one, well it that solves the problem!

No THAT is just AWESOME! Oh I wish that I could see that one in person!

We've got a dollhouse for Little Bit, but it's in the storage building in the back yard and probably needs to be scrubbed, bleached, detoxified and otherwise fumigated before we bring it in the house!

I always wanted a dollhouse growing up. This is such an amazing idea. And it was brought to life so perfectly.

Love this - thanks for sharing. I have a sweet little dolls house that's been a bit neglected lately - I think it might be getting a Spring clean very soon!
