I watched Marley and Me last night. I wanted to read the book first but I couldn't help myself. I weeped like a little baby! Dogs are amazing creatures! and I still want a kitty! Hey, they could be best friends! Do you have a story of very different animals being the best of friends? Have a fantastic Monday! photo found here

i remember once reading about an orphaned baby deer befriending a family dog. they sleep together this day in the dog's bed. :) and i once read about a baby bear that found his way to a family's house. he lives with them now (it is full grown) and get's along iwth everybody, including their dogs.
such a cute photo. i love marley and me :)
I need to see that movie too, I've heard it's just precious. As for stories of animals making unlikely friends with each other, these two videos almost bring me to tears every time I see them:

i LOVE that photo!!!
My parents knew marley and his owners. Its a very sad book and film.
I once had giant afican land snails.. i bought them from a pet shop and everything.. but i used to let them out in the garden to let them eat grass.. and one night i did this and forgot about them, so they ran away. Now they are either dead as they did not aclimatise (most likely) or theyre is a mini breed that is speading across England of giant african land snails.
hahah
We have two Angora rabbits and the male is best friends with our cat, they sleep together and play together.
We also have two horses and one of the horses plays with our Border Collie, too cute!
All of your stories are sooo wonderful! They all made me smile!
Hollyrocks, yes, I have seen both of these before and they are amazing stories! The dog and elephant help me to understand that there are no rules! And the lion one did bring me to tears! I'm a huge sap though!
Oh gosh, every time I visit your blog I have to scroll all the way down to see all the beautiful pictures you've found! That Etsy dress is AMAZING, I love the soft pastel colours of the last few posts. ^^
I read the book when it first came out, I have yet to see the movie though.
Hilariously enough, my dog chewed up the book. How appropriate. The other day I caught her trying to give her rope toy to the guinea pigs. They did not approve a rope being shoved into their cage.
O my goodness, what a cute patootie!
I just watched Marley and Me last week and had read the book years ago when it first came out - so fun and sweet. Our first cat taught our first dog how to be a cat - as soon as he was big enough he would jump up on the coffee table and snooze next to the cat - he eventually grew into a 40lbs Chow who preferred lounging in all the good "cat" spots around the house! lovely post!
